Write a talking-head script with AI first | AI Video Factory

The bottleneck on a short video is rarely the camera. It is the blank page before the first sentence. A timed talking-head script before you shoot is what later dubbing, captions and covers can lock to. This path does not need a finished file: topic to speakable beats in a few minutes.

Decide if you need a script or a cue list

If the clip is already shot and has a voice, use the ten-minute captions path instead of writing a script and pasting it back. If you have not filmed yet — or you will replace the on-camera voice with dubbing — draft the script first.

Be specific: “three minutes on SSD vs HDD” beats “talk about disks”. Pick explainer, story, comparison, tutorial or emotion; if none fit, type a one-line tone.

A path before you hit record

  1. Open script in the studio. This tool does not need a video upload.
  2. Enter a topic, pick a style and a duration (15 / 30 / 45 / 60 / 90 seconds is typical). Leave the engine on Auto: browser AI first, on-device model if that is unavailable.
  3. Each beat comes with in/out times: hook, pain, method, close. Edit words and split long beats; do not rerun the whole piece.
  4. Download TXT and read it on camera, or hand the same lines to AI dubbing.

The free plan includes one script run per month. Styles, duration and quota are on Features and Pricing.

Review only three things

  • The first three seconds: the opening beat needs a hook. Models love “Hi everyone, today we talk about…”. Cut that.
  • Words per second: about 4–6 Chinese characters, or a short English clause. If a beat is stuffed, cut words or lengthen that beat — do not speed the whole file.
  • Speakable: stacked clauses and essay words make you gasp. Rewrite how you actually talk.

What usually breaks

Treating the output as one essay with no timestamps: later dubbing can only read start to finish and guess length. Lock duration, then split. Vague topics and style-hopping burn quota. Always read it out loud — the model is for speed, breath and voice are yours.

After the script is locked, shoot or synthesize; captions can wait — see ten-minute captions. The full post order is in creator post in 2026.
